Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 59-36 to the Flomaton Hurricanes. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 56-47.

Flomaton found their leader in sophomore Jacie Himes, who posted 27 points. That's the most points Himes has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Talaisjah Wesley, who earned 13 points.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Flomaton, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Hillcrest has already played their next contest, a 65-44 loss against Escambia County on the 30th. Flomaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
