Basketball Recap: Norwalk Skates Past Magnolia with Ease

Norwalk won the last time they faced Magnolia and things went their way on Saturday too. The Norwalk Lancers breezed by the Magnolia Sentinels to the tune of 63-13. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Andruw Castellanos, who went 8 of 9 on his way to 16 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Rodriguez, who posted seven points along with six assists and three steals.

Norwalk's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Magnolia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwalk will square off against Firebaugh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwalk is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Magnolia, they will head out to face off against Pacifica at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
