The Buckeye Central Bucks will face off against the Carey Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Buckeye Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Buckeye Central turned things around against Crestline on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-2 win. The Bucks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aj Jury made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Jury was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
In other batting news, Phoebe Rafferty was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Emma Keller was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Buckeye Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .703. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Seneca East hit Carey with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils lost 8-2 to the Tigers. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Buckeye Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Carey, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Everything went Buckeye Central's way against Carey when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Buckeye Central made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
