Baseball Recap: Colony Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Colony put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Adelanto Saints 11-3. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Steven Gonzales looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, AJ Rangel was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ricardo Zazueta, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Colony kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now hit at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Colony's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Adelanto, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coincidentally, Colony and Adelanto will both be playing Riverside Prep the next time they take the field. Colony will head out to face Riverside Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Adelanto will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on March 3rd.
