Softball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for St. Anthony's offense. They came up short against the Buena Park Coyotes on Friday, falling 14-0.

St. Anthony saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivy Burnham, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Burnham is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

St. Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Buena Park, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Anthony will take on Bishop Conaty-Loretto at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buena Park, they will square off against Providence at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Coyotes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
