Volleyball Recap: Northfield Comes Up Short

Northfield suffered their biggest loss since September 23rd on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Rampart Rams. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Nighthawks haven't been shut out since back in September.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-14.

It was another big night for Gabriella Melecio, who had 18 digs for Rampart. Melecio is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Northfield and nudges their season record down to 17-7. As for Rampart, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Northfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Vista PEAK Prep on the 8th. Rampart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
