Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Chapin

The Jefferson Silver Foxes will head out on the road to square off against the Chapin Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jefferson managed to keep up with Andress until halftime last Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Jefferson came up short against Andress, falling 8-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Silver Foxes in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Jefferson hit Andress with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cassidy Lara, Alessandra Favela, and Esmeralda Armendariz.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Chapin was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to El Paso. That makes it the first time this season the Huskies have let down their home crowd.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Chapin, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Jefferson came up short against Chapin in their previous matchup on February 1st, falling 3-1. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
