Softball Recap: Hillcrest Academy Comes Up Short

Hillcrest Academy was the 11-1 winner over Baxter when they last played one another back in June of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Ravens fell just short of Baxter by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillcrest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Baxter, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest Academy will head out to face off against Lone Tree at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baxter, they will be playing at home against Janesville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.29 runs per game on average), something Baxter will no doubt try to take advantage of.
