Wenonah had won 13 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 4-0 to make it 14. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 78-76 victory over the Minor Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since January 29th.

Wenonah's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Santez Pendleton, who went 10-for-14 to rack up 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Pendleton's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Brendon Davis was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 20 points and five boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Minor fell to 3-1. On the bright side, the 76- point performance marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

Minor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carmelo Burroughs, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 56% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Royon Spears, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Wenonah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 86-77 win against Woodlawn on the 21st. As for Minor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-53 loss against Independence on the 22nd.
