Soccer Recap: Altoona Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Altoona's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand the St. Croix Central Panthers a 2-0 shutout. Altoona's winning goal came courtesy of Bini Donatell.

The win made it two in a row for Altoona and bumps their season record up to 10-4-5. As for St. Croix Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Altoona wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Tomah on the 11th. As for St. Croix Central, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Rice Lake on the 11th.
