Basketball Recap: Lonoke Comes Up Short

Lonoke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 65-53 to the England Lions. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Lions are ranked 65th).

Lonoke's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for England, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Lonoke and Des Arc will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for England, they will take on Cutter-Morning Star at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. England knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Cutter-Morning Star likes a good challenge.
