Football Game Preview: Post Antelopes vs. Abernathy Antelopes

Post will face off against Abernathy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Abernathy will be up against a hot Post team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Antelopes claimed a resounding 62-0 victory over Floydada. The Antelopes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abernathy). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-15 win over Olton. The victory continues a trend for the Antelopes in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Abernathy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Post, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Post beat Abernathy 21-13 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Does Post have another victory up their sleeve, or will Abernathy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
