West Lowndes is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the Vardaman Rams at 7:00 p.m. Vardaman took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Lowndes, who comes in off a win.

West Lowndes is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mantachie 40-14 two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Vardaman lost to Hamilton on the road by a 35-21 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Vardaman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for West Lowndes, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

West Lowndes was taken down by Vardaman 42-12 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Brady White (who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 171 yards and two TDs on only 11 passes) won't be suiting up this time.
