Basketball Recap: Andress Eagles vs. Hanks Knights
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Andress can now relate to. They were dealt a 49-16 defeat at the hands of the Hanks Knights on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.
Hanks was led to victory by Daisy Fernandez and Anette Hernandez. Fernandez dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Hernandez dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Fernandez also posted three blocks, which is notable because Hanks is undefeated when she posts at least three blocks, but 10-12 otherwise. Nevaeh Moore was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards.
Andress' defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Hanks, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.
