Basketball Recap: Andress Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Andress can now relate to. They were dealt a 49-16 defeat at the hands of the Hanks Knights on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Hanks was led to victory by Daisy Fernandez and Anette Hernandez. Fernandez dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Hernandez dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Fernandez also posted three blocks, which is notable because Hanks is undefeated when she posts at least three blocks, but 10-12 otherwise. Nevaeh Moore was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards.

Andress' defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Hanks, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Andress does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanks, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-47 loss against Plainview on the 14th.
