It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Byne Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Highland Christian Academy EAGLES 75-73. The Saints' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Byne Christian to victory were Grantham Jenkins and Luke Howard. Jenkins dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards, while Howard went 7-for-9 to rack up 18 points. Thanks to that strong game, Howard now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Skelley, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Byne Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Highland Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Byne Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Community Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Christian Academy, they will face off against Scintilla Charter Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The EAGLES will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
