Softball Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Americas Trail Blazers

Bel Air extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 5-23. They came up short against the Americas Trail Blazers, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trail Blazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Andrea Saucedo was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Americas, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by eight runs or more this season.

On Americas' side, Zoe O'Hara was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. O'Hara has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Abeni Cuevas was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Lea Guevara was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
