Basketball Recap: Banning Comes Up Short

Banning lost against Rancho Dominguez last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Banning Pilots took a hard 59-43 fall against the Rancho Dominguez Lobos. The Pilots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Banning's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Rancho Dominguez, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-13.

Banning will be playing in front of their home fans against Carson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Banning is facing Carson at the right time seeing as Carson is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Rancho Dominguez, they are taking a road trip to take on San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Dominguez knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully San Pedro likes a good challenge.
