Basketball Recap: Oconto Takes a Loss

Oconto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Algoma Wolves, falling 83-54. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 68-50 to the Wolves when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Braeden Leist was nothing short of spectacular for Algoma: he went 10-for-15 to rack up 27 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Lischka, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 24 points and seven boards.

Oconto's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Algoma, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
