Baseball Recap: Ocosta Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakville on Monday, Ocosta came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 15-7 to the Wahkiakum Mules on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Mules recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ocosta's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Wahkiakum, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocosta will venture away from home to take on Northwest Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 13th. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Wahkiakum, they are taking a road trip to square off against Napavine at 3:00 p.m. on the 13th. The Mules will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
