Softball Recap: Van Bulldogs vs. WestSide Renegades
Van was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They suffered a rough 12-3 loss at the hands of the WestSide Renegades. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Van of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Van saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brailynn McCarty, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Van's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for WestSide, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van will take on Elk Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Van is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for WestSide, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
