Softball Recap: Pinckney Has No Trouble Against Gabriel Richard

While Pinckney put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Gabriel Richard. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Fighting Irish. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Fighting Irish walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Natally Pease was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Jade Chelenyak was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The win got Pinckney back to even at 1-1. As for Gabriel Richard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Pinckney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Irish: the pair will be back at it again later today.
