Baseball Recap: Pryor Drops Highest Score of Season Against Will Rogers College

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pryor). Everything went their way against the Will Rogers College Ropers on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-2 win. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Riley Hurst made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last eight matchups.

In other batting news, Treyce Crawford was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sergio Banuelos, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Pryor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .552 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Pryor's record now sits at 13-5. As for Will Rogers College, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pryor will face off against Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Will Rogers College, they will square off against Braggs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
