Basketball Recap: Lake Mead Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Lake Mead Christian Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They came up short against the GV Christian Guardians, falling 71-47. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lake Mead Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Trystan Rudd, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Rudd is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Warholic, who posted four points.

Leading GV Christian to victory were Wake Rolwing and Nick Madsen. Rolwing went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and six rebounds, while Madsen dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. What's more, Madsen also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Julian Walls, who put up seven points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Lake Mead Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for GV Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season.

Lake Mead Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 87-41 defeat against Needles on the 10th. As for GV Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-42 win against Laughlin on the 10th.
