Football Game Preview: Mainland Buccaneers vs. Seabreeze Sandcrabs + Official Tickets

Mainland is a perfect 10-0 against Seabreeze since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buccaneers will face off against the Sandcrabs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mainland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Belleview 50-6. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Rattlers are ranked 313th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mainland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sebastian Johnson, who threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Johnson has posted since back in August. Kadin Flores was another key receiver, picking up 106 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Seabreeze made easy work of Pine Ridge on Friday and carried off a 28-7 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Sandcrabs just coasted through the last quarter.

Mainland better keep an eye on JEREMIAS GEORGE. He was instrumental in Seabreeze's win, rushing for 80 yards and three scores on only five carries.

The win made it two in a row for Mainland and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Seabreeze, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Mainland against Seabreeze in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 53-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
