With a playoff win on the line, Hickory Ridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the West Cabarrus Wolverines 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Hickory Ridge's 11th in a row) raised their record to 24-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for West Cabarrus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Hickory Ridge nor West Cabarrus have any future games scheduled.
