Basketball Recap: Henry-Senachwine Comes Up Short

Henry-Senachwine was the 51-23 winner over Lowpoint-Washburn when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Henry-Senachwine Mallards took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats.

Lowpoint-Washburn got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brendin Melton out in front who posted 13 points and six rebounds. Evan Schumacher was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

Henry-Senachwine has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Henry-Senachwine has already played their next match (against Leland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lowpoint-Washburn will challenge Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
