Basketball Game Preview: Rock Ridge Phoenix vs. Dominion Titans

The Rock Ridge Phoenix and the Dominion Titans will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rock Ridge lost 50-27 to Loudoun Valley on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Dominion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 54-12 loss at the hands of Heritage. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Dominion's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Rock Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Rock Ridge skirted past Dominion 45-43 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Rock Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dominion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
