Football Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Saugerties Sawyers + How To Watch

Port Jervis has gone 6-1 against Saugerties recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Raiders will challenge the Sawyers at 3:00 p.m. Port Jervis' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so Saugerties' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Port Jervis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Red Hook get on the board and left with a 55-0 win. Considering Port Jervis has won nine matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Fox produced another solid performance rushing for 135 yards and one score on only six carries, while also throwing for 168 yards and three TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes. Ashton Mack was in the mix as well, providing Port Jervis with two touchdowns.

Port Jervis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cole Corcoran and Marcus Bloom. Port Jervis received some extra help from Benjamin Rivera, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saugerties, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over Marlboro Central on Saturday.

Saugerties pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.8 points over those games. As for Port Jervis, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Everything came up roses for Port Jervis against Saugerties when the teams last played back in October, as the team secured a 48-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
