Eastern Wayne won the last time they faced Princeton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors walked away with a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Princeton's batters probably weren't too happy with Mallory Reed, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Reed has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lyric Hagans was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Lyric Kornegay also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Eastern Wayne's record now sits at 6-2. As for Princeton, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eastern Wayne will square off against rival Spring Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Princeton is set to take on their familiar foe Goldsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
