Basketball Game Preview: Stanley Panthers vs. Singer Hornets

The Stanley Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Singer Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Stanley took on Plain Dealing on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Lions 61-12. That looming 61-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Singer narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Merryville 30-27. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted against the Panthers since November 30, 2017.

Stanley pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Singer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Stanley strolled past Singer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 67-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
