Basketball Recap: Truman Comes Up Short

Truman was the 70-64 winner over Lee's Summit North when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Truman Patriots took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lee's Summit North Broncos on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Broncos are ranked 15th).

Truman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Lee's Summit North, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Truman will look to defend their home court on Friday against Smithville at 7:00 p.m. As for Lee's Summit North, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
