Volleyball Recap: Saint Jo's Run of 12 Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Saint Jo unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Leonard Tigers. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Saint Jo took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-17.

Leonard was led to victory by Ava Flowers and Leah Stoy. Flowers had 35 assists and four digs, while Stoy had 16 kills. Flowers is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 41 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Aylor, who had eight digs and one assist.

Saint Jo's loss dropped their record down to 28-14. As for Leonard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 33-7.

Saint Jo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leonard, they will head out to square off against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
