Football Recap: Pauls Valley Drops Season-High Score on North Rock Creek

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plainview, Pauls Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the North Rock Creek Cougars 23-21. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, North Rock Creek still got an impressive performance from Memphis Burdine, who picked up 79 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 39 yards and one TD.

Pauls Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for North Rock Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
