St. Mary's Prep won the last time they faced Adams and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eaglets won by a run and slipped past the Highlanders 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eaglets.

Anthony Abela looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, St. Mary's Prep let Andrew Tribul and Luke Crighton run wild. Tribul went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Crighton got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Nate Bauman was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

St. Mary's Prep's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Adams, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-5.
