Jake Jimenez turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Arroyo Valley's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Jimenez and Arroyo Valley will square off against Indian Springs at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Arroyo Valley is 9-1 against Indian Springs going back to April of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
