Basketball Game Preview: South Point Red Raiders vs. North Buncombe Black Hawks + Official Tickets

The South Point Red Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the North Buncombe Black Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, South Point needed a bit of extra time to put away Lake Norman Charter. They walked away with a 73-65 win over the Knights.

South Point can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Worley, who shot 65% from the field on his way to 25 points, and OB Lowery Jr., who went 8-for-18 en route to 25 points and three steals. Lowery Jr. has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cayden Rumph, who posted ten points and five steals.

Meanwhile, North Buncombe hadn't done well against McDowell recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Black Hawks secured a 93-87 W over the Titans.

The victory got South Point back to even at 1-1. As for North Buncombe, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
