Basketball Recap: Ogden Comes Up Short

Ogden played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Provo Bulldogs an easy 62-37 victory. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Provo found their leader in freshman Sutton Villa, who went 9 of 11 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and six blocks. Villa is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Yenchik, who posted ten points along with five assists and four steals.

Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Provo, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ogden will welcome West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Provo, they will host Lehi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Provo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.
