Basketball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark lost against Seneca back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Norsemen fell 61-55 to the Fighting Irish.

Despite the loss, Newark still got an impressive performance from Cody Kulbartz, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reggie Chapman, who posted 12 points and seven assists.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seneca, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Newark has already played their next matchup, a 71-44 victory against Somonauk on the 28th. As for Seneca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-45 defeat against Hall on the 28th.
