Football Game Preview: Resurrection Christian Cougars vs. Grand Valley Cardinals + How To Watch

The Resurrection Christian Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Grand Valley Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Resurrection Christian duked it out with Lutheran on Friday. The Cougars took a 24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Resurrection Christian got top-tier performance from Britton Walston, who rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Walston's longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Grand Valley's offense. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of Moffat County. The Cardinals have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Resurrection Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grand Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Resurrection Christian against Grand Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 51-7 victory. In that game, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
