Volleyball Recap: West Franklin Takes a Loss

West Franklin had taken Anderson County down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

West Franklin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Anderson County work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24.

Greelie McMahan paced West Franklin's offense, picking up seven kills. McMahan got some help from Teegan McArthur and her eight assists.

West Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

West Franklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Chase County on the 7th. As for Anderson County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Santa Fe Trail on the 4th.
