Softball Game Preview: South Amboy Governors vs. Wardlaw Hartridge Rams

South Amboy has won three straight games at home, while Wardlaw Hartridge has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Governors will welcome the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Amboy came out on top against Manville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Governors won by a run and slipped past the Mustangs 6-5.

Mia Pina was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wardlaw Hartridge got the win against Timothy Christian last Friday by a conclusive 16-4. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

South Amboy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Wardlaw Hartridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
