Basketball Game Preview: Berry Wildcats vs. Oak Grove Tigers + How To Watch

The Berry Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Oak Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Berry has three straight wins, Oak Grove has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Berry slipped by Ellwood Christian 57-56. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one point.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 boards. The contest was Jackson's third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Smith, who posted 15 points and five assists.

Berry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove came up short against Thorsby on Tuesday and fell 59-47.

Berry will have to contain Zyontae Hubbard as he made an impact in Oak Grove's last game. He put up 17 points. Hubbard has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Hudson, who scored nine points.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Berry, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Berry strolled past Oak Grove in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 59-42. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
