Preview: New Buffalo Bison vs. Brandywine Bobcats
New Buffalo is 2-8 against Brandywine since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The New Buffalo Bison will be home for the holidays to greet the Brandywine Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for New Buffalo: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Brandywine has snatched up 11 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, New Buffalo took a serious blow against Howardsville Christian, falling 79-49. New Buffalo was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-31.
Despite the defeat, New Buffalo saw an underclassman step up: Lucas Forker dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Samuel Tripp was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Brandywine scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-41 victory over Buchanan on the road. The result was nothing new for Brandywine, who have now won three games by 32 points or more so far this season.
New Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brandywine, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
