Baseball Recap: Taunton's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Taunton dropped their record down to 9-2 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Boston College High Eagles by a score of 8-7. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Boston College High, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.

For Boston College High's part, the team relied heavily on Jack Darcy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That home run was Darcy's first of the season. Tommy O'Donnell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taunton will square off against Canton at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Boston College High, they will take on North Andover at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
