Football Recap: Rancho Cucamonga Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rancho Cucamonga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 44-20 to the Merced Bears. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Bears are ranked 41st).

Imani Boiner threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns. Jada Lavender was her top target, picking up 124 receiving yards and three scores.

Rancho Cucamonga's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Merced, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Rancho Cucamonga wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-6 victory against South Hills on the 6th. As for Merced, they will host Mendota at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
