Soccer Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

Aurora lost against Springfield Catholic back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Houn Dawgs lost 11-1 to the Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, Aurora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Springfield Catholic are ranked fifth).

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Springfield Catholic, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 26-2.

Aurora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springfield Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Bolivar at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
