Football Game Preview: Junction City Dragons vs. Mineral Springs Hornets

The Junction City Dragons will take on the Mineral Springs Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mineral Springs took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Junction City, who comes in off a win.

Junction City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Foreman to the tune of 43-6 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Gator Arkansas: they've now won four in a row.

Dakorey Larry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 112 yards and one TD on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Junction City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jakorey Larry and Cade Hightower. Another thorn in Foreman's side was Dalton Baker, who made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Mineral Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 18-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring Hill.

Junction City's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mineral Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Junction City didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mineral Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
