Basketball Recap: Kossuth Comes Up Short

If Kossuth was feeling good fresh off their 77-45 takedown of Hatley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aggies were beaten by the Itawamba Agricultural Indians 64-37 on Saturday. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.

Several Aggies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Franks, who posted nine points. Emma Moore was another key player, putting up eight points.

Kossuth's record is now 1-1. As for Itawamba Agricultural, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kossuth will challenge Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will square off against Saltillo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
