Oakwood won the last time they faced Salt Fork and things went their way on Friday too. The Comets were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Storm. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Oakwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaethan Perez out in front who rushed for 100 yards and one score, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. Perez got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Kyler Johnson, who rushed for 130 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Oakwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Oakwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-13 win against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on the 24th. As for Salt Fork, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-30 loss against Clifton Central on the 24th.
