Football Recap: Minnechaug Regional Comes Up Short

Minnechaug Regional lost against Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons took a blow against the Golden Eagles, falling 46-7. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked third).

This is the second loss in a row for Minnechaug Regional and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Minnechaug Regional is set to square off against their familiar foe Longmeadow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Central will take on rival West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
